15' x 8' Fenway Park Mural on Canvas 11/05

Here is a large 15ft.x 8ft.full wall mural. Hand painted on canvas. This mural was comissioned for a private playroom in Sudbury MA.

The family has four children so they didn't want to favor any one child by having his portrait painted in the electronic scoreboard so, brilliantly, they decided to paint Grampa Washington D.C. (they identify their grandparents by geographic locations :D ).

None of the boys nor Grampa Washington D.C. new about the planned portrait. Granmpa Washington D.C. was in town for a few days, so I worked around the clock to finish in time to install before he left for home.

On installation day, as I unrolled the canvas onto the wall, the boys were watching and when I got to the portrait, they all gasped and oohed and ahhed at the sight of their grandfather.

Grampa Washington D.C. said, after seeing the portrait on the scoreboard of Fenway Park, that it was more special than having his portrait hanging over the fireplace!
