Baldwin Early Learning Center, First Grade Mural

Wallspace Custom Murals is proud to present in collaboration with the first graduating class of the Baldwin Early Learning Center in Brighton Massachusets, Ms. Thu's 1st graders, a mural designed and painted by the children and Chris Bordenca.

The first graders at Baldwin ELC wanted to leave a special gift behind for their school mates as they graduate to their new schools.

Their teacher contacted Chris about painting a mural that would somehow involve the kids.

Chris had the kids each make a drawing for the mural. He then scanned each drawing and created a digital collage of what the mural would look like.

Chris and the kids had a great time working together, and everyone loves the mural. It has extra special meaning because the kids painted it themeselves.

Once the mural design was finished. Chris went back to the school and drew in the outlines for the mural.

Then next day, Chris returned and over the course of the day, small groups of students were given the oppurtunity to paint the parts of the mural that were drawn from their own artwork.

The mural is 7ft. x 12ft. and took one day to paint.
